Holiday Oven Cleaning

Before the holidays approach make sure and open up that oven, take a look inside and make sure it is clean for your holiday cooking. When cleaning your oven make sure to remove the oven racks first, then read the back of the product you are using for proper instructions. Wear long rubber gloves while using oven cleaning products. Also, open windows and turn on oven fan to prevent the fumes from overwhelming you.

Some cleaners require a heat up period and some cleaners do not. Make sure to lay down a piece of cardboard or a towel under the oven door opening on the floor in front of the oven. This will allow the towel or cardboard to catch any grease that may fall while cleaning. Also, to clean your racks they make great degreaser that works well or Dawn 5x foaming spray works very well. After the oven has been cleaned make sure to take a wet rag and wipe out the inside to ensure all the product is out of the oven. Happy holidays
